Modernized Havamal - Verse 1

As promised here is the first verse of the Havamal in slightly more modern language.

Before passing through any door,
observe carefully, and consider what may be ahead.
Always be mindful of your surroundings,
be vigilant in unfamiliar places.
You can never be sure where a foe
or other danger resides.
